The new headquarters of the engineering company and business consultancy “P3” occupy the site of the former abattoir in Aachen and provide a successful example of how a redevelopment concept can be realised in a way that reconciles preservation with the requirements of modern office communications.
The historic “Kraftversorgungsturm” once served as a source of energy, with fresh water flowing from the tower into the abattoir sheds. Now, it serves as an entrance hall and meeting area, while also forming an impressive centre point between two newly built, three-story office blocks.
